Wouldn't you know it...one of the few times I see Cedar Waxwings it's high noon and I have a dinky zoom lens....so, this is the best shot I could get. There were actually two pairs of them flying around. Such a pretty bird!

Our backyard is swarming with these guys! I didn't have the right camera settings on this one, but I didn't want to stand out there much longer so, it is what it is for this time. I'm sure I'll have plenty of opportunity to get other bee shots.

Fancy Pants Dragonfly

Hiking in Fontenelle and it was swarming with dragonflies. We named this one Liza (with a z) because she was so blinged out!

I couldn't quite capture just how red the sun was as sunset tonight....this is the closest I could get. There has been no photoshopping to this pic....the sun really was that creepy orange/red.

The Orchid Lives!

I am so excited! Orchids are by far my favorite flower and I buy them all the time. Usually the blooms live for a short while, fall off and then the plant sits on our counter for months waiting for the slight chance that it'll re-bloom... I have NEVER gotten an Orchid to actually re-bloom. Well, my black thumb for Orchid streak is over! I have three gorgeous new blooms on my plant with several more waiting to open!!! It's the little things in life that make me happy now...
